OUR REASONS FOR CREATING THIS DOCUMENTARY
Learn More About Why Sharing these Stories is Necessary
We tell stories that connect people regardless of background, empowering them to make the informed decisions that others with similar experiences weren’t aware of.
A BRIEF SYNOPSIS
About the Film
BROKEN VOWS: Stories of Separation takes you into the lives of several women, to learn more about the process of navigating separation. It’s our hope that by sharing their stories others with similar experiences can better negotiate the many obstacles these women overcame and more importantly what comes next.
ABOUT US
Storytelling for Separated Families
We are a community of those affected by separation dedicated to supporting families by sharing incredible stories with further insight provided by professionals. Our hope is that by contributing to a greater dialogue surrounding how separation affects individual families in the long-term we’ll raise greater awareness of the many problems they and others encounter. Currently we have several projects that each reaffirm to audiences that it’s all right to ask others for help, including a documentary film, podcast, and resource.
Sunnie McFadden-Curtis began production of Broken Vows: Stories of Separation in 2016 in the midst of her own separation. Through hundreds of hours researching and interviewing she came to understand this unique challenges that all families encounter.
